2009 Toyota Tacoma Thrush Welded Muffler?

I have a new 2009 Toyota Tacoma V6, Crew Cab, Wondering if adding a Thrush Welded Muffler Will make the exhaust sound deeper/ louder or not?! The sound clip on the Thrush web site sounds killer but I Was told by a friend that toyota has put baffles in the exhaust somewhere between the cat and the muffler and you can't get a good sound out of newer toyota trucks is this true?
if not can anyone recomend an alternate muffler that gives a deep/old muscle sound?
