2009 Toyota Corolla XRS VSC light flashing. Help!?

I got in my car after work and the VSC light was flashing (Vehicle Stability Control)
It wasn't doing that on my way to work. There was some flooding on my road earlier that day and at most I think it was 3 inches deep, I went very slow through it. I was told that I could have ruined the sensor by going through the water.
Also that it might cost $500-$800 to fix, is it even necessary? Could there be something else going on that I'm not aware of? What should I do?
Thanks.

Now, at Auto Advance Parts used to Kragen Auto parts, they scan sensor diagnose for free why you don't stop and ask them for a test to see what wrong and which sensor?

Have the dealer put it on the computer to check . It is going to cost you about $50 but you must find the answer.
Sometimes it is a stupid answer. My Highlander read "service engine soon " because I did not click the gas cap when filling !
