2009 Dodge Grand Caravan is it a good Family Car?

My family wants to get a smaller more affordable car because our chevy tahoe is really expensive and isn't great on the gas milage. Since we do travel a lot and we usually bring our small dog with us we can't buy a small small car. So we were thinking about the Grand Caravan. It looks pretty cool, comes with lots of cool features such as floor storage and swivel chairs. There are only 4 people in the family. The two kids are 14 and 15. We pack a lot when we travel so we need lots of storage space for that. So is the Grand Caravan everything that it says?
We usually trade in our cars for a new one every few years so we probably won't have more than four years at most.
 
Maybe you should try Honda Odyssey. I have some friends who has both Caravan and odyssey, The Caravan has many more good features but maintenance is higher then Odyssey. If you plan to have a long term family car with less mechanical problems then go with a Honda. The Caravan will start having problems after 3 years of driving. The Honda last forever. One of my friends drive up to 500,000 miles on the Odyssey, its great.
 
we usually end up getting another car before that happens... and we would probably get rid of it by then.
