2009 air shocks

Sure enough the manual states max of 50 psi. Amazing that after running them at 55 for 10,000 miles, they were fine.

I lowered the air to 42 psi last friday and went for a lengthy ride with my wife for the weekend.

We both hated the ride so Saturday morning I upped them to 50psi and it was better for us.
 
The shocks are engineered with a redundance factor of at least a third of the total air capacity..so those of us that run 55 when loaded heavy are not even close to blowin out..Ive ran mine that way for 16000 mi so far, using mobil one syn tranny fluid in place of the "factory fluid" and it rides like it should have..no more bounce... in my 09 Street
 
Sounds like I may be going back to 55 then because with the short shocks, both my wife and I like the ride at lot better at 55.

Like you said, less bounce.
