2008 Honda Civic Type R didnt start!? whyy?

my dad has a 2008 honda civic type r fn2 we use it mostly as a weekend car and is parked in our garage most times and we went to start it at 4am in the morning because my dad was at work and the engine wouldnt start... so we had to push it and then it started? what was wrong with it do you think?


I thought them i-vtec engines were the most reliable in the world none ever voiding warrenty

It cant of been the battery.. because the lights were comming on the dashboard.. its weried
 
still it could be your battery does not have enough juice going to the starter.....something i get with garage kept cars that has to do with electrical also has to do with mice or rodents ......they love cars and they love wires and filters to....anywho it might also be the starter or a burnt fusible link in your wireing just get a cheap multimeter or a test light and start checking wires starting at your starter it you have juice there....is it 12.6 v or 8 if it is under 11v you have something resisting electricical current....could just be a coroded wire connector somewhere....
