having issues with mds and trans took it in at 36k with trans problem said i was shifting into drive or reverse at high rpm which is false now im having issues with mds/trans going up and down hills currently at 57k is this a common problem dunno if there are many high mileage 08s out there with similar problems
 
I don't think that is the MDS system. You would not notice it when it is on or off. I do think that you have a Torque Converter Clutch issue that is causing it to lock up and unlock constantly. There was a few that had this problem and Chrysler put out a TSB for it. It involves reprogramming the TCM. It could be other things but I would start there.
 
if you,ll take it back in to the dealer there's an update they can do the computer to correct this problem,this has been problem with several of those ,but there is a fix for it and its free from a dealer,good luck.
