I just bought a used magnum and when I went to chevron to fill it up it stopped at 10 gallons even though the tank was on empty. why is it only filling up 3/4's of the way. When I took the car back to the lot the guy said that I should just let the tank breathe for a bit cuz it probably had air in it, and that some of the newer cars might be tricky to put gas in because if you just shove the nozzle in there it'll make the car think its on a full tank when its not. Any feedback would help!
The tank is supposed to hold about 14-15 gallons, when it stopped at 10 gallons I tried pumping some more but it would keep rejecting the pump. I don't think its the fuel gauge since it accurately reported when the tank was empty and 10 gallons is about 3/4s...The car is still under factory warranty so if the problem persists i might just take it to dodge.
