I got put off by all the fuss and when I skimmed through the album I was left wondering if I was missing something here. I really didn't give it enough time for the album to click with me...

...controversial I know.

Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf
The Roots - Phrenology
The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

Tom Waits - Alice, Blood Money
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead - Source Tags and Codes
Sigur Ros - ( )

Spoon - Kill the Moonlight

Just to name a few.

Bold denotes albums which are arguably the artists' best releases.

Get your nominations in and we will compile a best of. Choose five and in order.

Mine:

1. Kayo Dot- Blue Larabency Downward
2. Nick Cave and The Bad SeeRAB- Dig, Lazarus , Dig
3. Foals-Antidote
4. Lulu Rouge - Bless You
5. Benga-Diary Of an Afro Warrior

Very close calls:

Bon Iver-For Emma, Forever Ago
Agoraphobic Nosebleed-Altered States Of America
Gojira-The Way Of All Flesh

Yeah, I thought 'A-Punk' was catchy, but their other two singles were awful. There was nothing to 'Oxford Comma' or that Cape Cod one for me.

Jenny Lewis-Acid Tongue
Death Cab for Cutie-Narrow Stairs
Keane-Perfect Symmetry
The Classic Crime-The Silver Cord
I am saving the last spot for the new Killers record

1. Raconteurs - Consolers of the Lonely
2. Portugal. The Man - Censored Colors
3. Cut Copy - In Ghost Colours
4. British Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music?
5. Death Cab For Cutie - Narrow Stairs

Note: These are the only 5 albums I have that came out this year, ranked in order of how I liked them. I'm sure there are plenty of good releases I missed.

We still got two months, dude.
