I've got an 07 drz 400s, and I've got an aftermarket pipe and K n' N air filter with the 3x3 cut mod in the top of the airbox. I bought a dynojet jet kit for it and installed the new needle and main jet and all, but that was for a stock air box, and mine is modified with the 3x3 mod. I've heard I should just keep the stock main (142.5) in it and go 4th clip down on the needle. What would you suggest with the mods I have for it? It almost feels like it's too lean really, just the general way and characteristics of the engine and all. Any help and input is appreciated! Thank you!!

its a diaphram carb, its designed to run lean for increased fuel economy, whatever you do to that carb won't make any difference because the diaphram controls the fuel volume. By changing the jets you are only increasing the fuel to the float bowl, but the diaphram controls the fuel from the float bowl into the engine.
if you want some serious performance from it install a racing cam

I wish everybody could understand how a diaphram carb works!
