Okay I have a 2007 Mazda 6 automatic transmission, it's a four cylinder. I've had the small leak for about a month now and plan on getting it fixed. Well the main question is, I started my car so I could warm up the transmission before I checked it and it was around 50 degrees outside, then when I went to check the dipstick there was just a very little amount on the tip of the dipstick, but when I turned the car off and waited for about 5 minutes I then checked it again with the car off and the fluid was the correct amount. RECAP; Checked the transmission fluid with the car off and showed close to no fluid on the dipstick, but when checked with the car off transmission fluid is back to normal. Can you guys give me an explanation of why it's like this? another question is what kind of transmission fluid does my car take? Thanks for your time!
