2007 harley davidson Nightster?

I was changing the oil on my brothers harley, or so I though. I unscrewed the plug that I assumed was the oil plug and a fluid just a hair lighter then oil came out. The plug was located on the left side of the bike about six inches back and to the right of the clutch....anyone know what it was????!!

this is the primary case and it takes 1 quart of primary chain and gear lube instead of the 20w 50 motor oil

True, it takes a quart of fluid, but you don't have to go all the way back to HD and get their special primary lube. You CAN use the 20w50 oil just like the motor takes. First, put back in the plug and make sure not to cut the o-ring, next take the oval inspection cover off and simply pour the quart in and you're done. When you put the inspection cover back on, if you don't have a new gasket, make sure to wipe everything clean and get it back tight.
