My 2007 Ford Focus SE has a strong smell/stench from the AC when it is on. However the smell is about 98% gone when running on MAX AC. Last week, during its 30K service I had "product" sprayed in to the AC lines that was supposed to clear out the moldy/dirty sock smell, however the smell came back with in a week.
1. Does anyone know of a product like the above that actually work?
2. Where could the smell be coming from? Could it be in the duct work from the AC to the cabin?
3. Is this kind of issue covered under the warranty?
and...
4. How much does it cost to just have the AC replaced with a new/refurbished one?
