Please help! I have the option of buying two cars that I really like. One is a 2006 Jetta with 16,000 miles and the other one is a 2007 Honda Civic with 38,000 miles. The Jetta is $13,500 and the Civic is $13,000. I'm having trouble making a decision because I keep getting mixed opinions. I've heard that Jettas are super expensive to repair and the factory warrant ends in 6 months. The Civic has a warranty that will go until it reaches 60,000 miles. I like the look of the Jetta much more then the Civic but the Civic does come with the works while the Jetta is the bare bones edition. Thoughts, ideas, anything???
My opinions were coming from a small group of people, and I have done research, thank you. I have read articles and reviews that say jetta and others that say civic. That's why I wanted a to ask the opinions of others who may haved one one or both.

DEFINITELY the Volkswagon. So much classier. I would rather walk than drive a Honda. they are just so boring. Once you drive a German car you will never look back. The repair costs are really more of a myth than anything. I drive a 2004 BMW and it really isn't that big of a deal. I am in love with it. Just make sure it has been MAINTAINED. Maintenance is much much more important than miles. The horror stories come from people who don't care and don't maintain their car. I would rather buy a bicycle than drive a Honda.

Thought: If you keep getting mixed opinions....STOP ASKING FOR OPINIONS.

Go do some research, and find actual reports of how the vehicles are. Then compare them side by side.

That way, you're not listening to what one person likes or dislikes, just looking at the facts.

i just got a 2007 civic about a month ago and i absolutely love it. the gas mileage is ridiculous, about 30 miles to the gallon, 40 on highways, the interior and visibility are also good. i would go for the civic
