I just purchased a 2006 Jeep Liberty Non Diesel Automatic. Since having this car for about three weeks now i have had the car not want to accelerate on take off. It starts to but then stops. The problem when I push the pedal to the floor is it doesn't do anything. It last about 30 seconds and then goes on its merry way. My fear is it is going to do this and someone is going to clobber me in the back end. The RPM metter floats a lot between .5 and 2 when I have it in cruise control at 30mph and it feels like I'm towing something. There is 35,000 miles on it.
Is this a common problem and how do I fix it?
I'm disappointed to see all the problems with these Jeeps....I was always told Jeeps last forever with minimal maintenance but i have been looking online and it looks like I have dug myself into a hell hole. Has anyone had a good experience with their Liberty?????
