2006 Jeep Commander Loss of Power for short time?

I have a 2006 Jeep Commander Base Model. It has about 74K on it and I have owned this Jeep for about a year. Over the past year I have noticed at times if I hit a bump (somewhat hard, nothing outta the ordinary) or if I am making a sharp turn or quick turn (such as pulling out from a dead stop into traffic while hitting the gas hard) the Jeep will almost loose its power. For about 3 seconds nothing happens. No matter how hard I press the gas or if I leave it pressed to the same level as when I started the turn or hit the bump there is no movement. It acts as if I am not giving it gas at all and then it will start to accelerate like normal. The lights inside and out do NOT dim, no actual power is lost. It just seems like it wants to stall out. I have searched this issue on google etc. and every result I find is involving the V8 model and the power loss is a complete stall while driving at a high rate of speed or sitting at idle, each case also states that the owner experienced the vehicles lights dim or shut up during this event. This does not happen in my case and I only have the V6 model. Any ideas what this could be? Or why this is happening? Has anyone else had this issue?
