...Needed to replace the engine. Any clues why this happened?
My 2006 Honda Civic overheated at 31k miles. 3 days before this happened I drove the car from Houston, TX to Toronto, ON. A distance of around 1500 miles. Everything went fine. 3 days after the long trip after an hour long drive the temperature gauge was close to the hot level. Took the car to a Honda dealership. The engine had to be replaced.
I took the car for a detailed servicing before 3 weeks before going to Canada. What must have caused this?
