2006 FIFA World Cup - Xbox 360

I was thinking of picking this up, but I thought I'd ask you guys for comments about it before I did. I played the demo and liked it, but I had a couple questions..

1. How is online play?
2. Since its world cup, is there there a "lack of depth" compared to other fifa games?
3. Would it be better to wait for the next fifa game, or is it worth buying right now?

Thanks!

i played it at my buddies the other day. i dont like it, i disagree with the person who said it has too much depth, i dont think it is dep at all. also the gameplay feels much faster than fifa 06 for some reason, and the controls feel differnent.

I have it and love it. They tweaked the gameplay to make it closer to the WE series. I bought it right when it came out because I love football games and absolutely could not wait until the next FIFA (October-ish? I think the WE game is coming out even later) to play one on the 360.

You can play the WC tournament or even the regional qualifiers and pick one of 130ish teams and then qualify for the tourney and plan in it.

There are also global challenges where you play in historic scenarios with objectives to achieve (win by 2 goals, draw no cards, end with a clean sheet, etc.) in each. Some are quite challenging (as Spain you must beat Italy by two goals before extra time when you are losing 0-1 at the 87th minute to get a gold medal for the challenge), and I have a blast with it.

One of my good friends have it and I have played it a bit. Here is my answers:

1. Not sure, never used a gaming system online

2. No, it has over 120 teams and even goes through the qualifying stages instead of just the finals.

3. If you have the money I would go ahead and pick it up. If I had a 360 I would and then I would buy FIFA 07 as well.
