2006 Dodge Magnum problems?

I bought a 2006 Dodge Magnum about a year ago. I was having problems, but I got them checked out and fixed. But now I am having problems again. The first one is, occassionally it will not move out of park. I have turn it off and restart it several times before it will actually shift, this does not occur every time but it does happen occassionally. And the second one just happened today. I went to start the car and it started and as soon as I put it in reverse it died, it did that 3 times, then it just wouldn't start at all. I can't get the car to start at all, but the windows, lights, radio, and a/c all will work. There was also jsut a little red dot in the instrument panel that has never been on before. I have tried to look online, and I've seen a lot to do with the key and anti-theft protection. I'm not really sure what it is, does anyone know what is going on? And if it is the key can I go to the dodge dealership to get a new key or will I have to have the car there too? Thanks in advance, 10 to best answer!
Edit: I just got a new battery, feul injection pump, and just had the alternator and starter checked.
