I have a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan, previously had a 1999 Grand Caravan that I drove until it had 220,000 miles on it. A couple months ago, the battery died; no reason for the drain. Had a mechanic charge it, and a couple days later it died again. Replaced the battery with a new one. 4000 miles later it died again - click-click-click when I turn the key. Took it to a mechanic, nothing in the electrical, not the fuses, nothing causing the problem from what he can see. He charged the battery - this was just a week ago. This morning, same thing - battery is dead. I have found postings all over the internet that this apparently is a problem with the Grand Caravan "not shutting all the way down." But I've yet to find anyone who has a specific solution for it. I can't believe it would be the new battery. Have you heard of this and what do I need to do to fix it so the van doesn't leave me stranded somewhere with my kids?
