Hi, I have a 2006 Dodge Dakota with only 30,000 miles.

I told the mechanic that sometimes when I accelerate it jerks a bit from the back.
He said a differential flush would help.

Should I do the flush or....?

no, if its low top it off, if there is anything in it (metal shavings) you need to replace whatever shaved off not just fluid... i would assume you either are misquoting him or are getting smoke blown up your....

Wow, the questions on this board involving dishonest, stupid, ignorant, downright evil mechanics are rampant.

No, that in no way is a logical assumption. The fluid is good for 75,000 miles minimum and in reality will never need replaced and even if it was worn completely out it would not cause that.

What is disturbing is what the heck you're talking about... jerking? With 30k miles, take it back to the Dodge dealer and let them check it out - it should be under warranty.
