My father is in the final stages of purchasing a used 2005 Toyota Highlander Limited V-6.
The paper work is signed, just waiting for the banking to go through tomorrow, and the answer to my question wouldn't effect the final decision anyways, but we were just curious.
After test driving 3 Highlanders, and researching them online, we had just assumed it ran on regular unleaded gasoline. But tonight as I was reading a review from Motor Trend, it says that the V-6 models require 91 octane gasoline. This is the only source I can find claiming that it runs on 91 octane. I have searched numerous sources online trying to confirm or deny this, but I havent found anything else. So I am not too lazy to do an internet search, I have tried and still dont have an answer.
We will obviously find out tomorrow by looking in the owners manual, but I was curious if anyone could confirm this tonight.
So... Does the 05 Highlander with the V-6 engine require 91 octane fuel??
Also, if anyone reading this owns, or has owned, this generation Highlander, any feedback about the vehicle, positive or negative, any interesting facts, or things to watch out for would be helpful.
