2005 Toyota Celica, problems with gas?

Ok, I have a 2005 Toyota Celica that I have had really no problems on. However, the past couple weeks I've noticed my gas mileage is off it seems. I'm going through gas like water and I don't know what could be wrong - if it's my sensor is off, or something is really wrong. I need to know a next step, or something to try before I spend hundreds at the dealership.
 
Better get it checked out. Maybe an oxygen sensor is faulty. Not possible to fix it yourself. Needs specialised diagnostic equipment to pinpoint the problem.
