2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Autostick throuble?

I recently bought a used 2005 Jeep off a friend. I got it for really cheap so i knew i was going to have problems with it not anything crazy. I have tried to use the autostick on it and it seemed as if it was disengaged so i took the cover off and there are two plugs.. one of them is connected and the other is not.... it seems as if someone did open it before and disconected one of them... would there be another reason why my autostick does not work. im looking for a diagram or something that would be able to help with this little problem. thanx
 
Have you tried sitting on it then spinning on it until you are facing the back seats, then dig a booger out of your nostril and place it on your right eyelid? Hope this helps
