Ok I have a 2005 1200 xlc sporty. My brake light wont shut off. I have unhooked the wires for the rear brake switch so I know it isnt that so I know the linkage is not an issue nor the rear switch. The front brake switch I need help with though. I dont hear the click noise that usually is heard with the front brake lever. I have asked this question yesterday but apparently I didnt state what all was done before asking. So i will continue to try to work with the front brake lever and try to work the switch free. Any help would be appreciated. But I know it is front or something is grounded out

undo the lever housing, then you'll see the switch, work it with your finger back and forth,if the light still doesnt go out, disconnect the wires (two i believe,in the headlight bucket)
either buy a new switch,or put it back together as-is and rely on the rear switch during braking.

Try spaying some contact cleaner (electrical section of any HW store)on the front switch. I have never heard of it making the switch stay on, just off, but I guess it can get stuck in the pressed position.
Good luck and ride safe.
