First and foremost, I hardly know a thing about cars and will not pretend to. I need a little help please.
So, here's the deal:
My Jeep Liberty is a 2005, turbo Diesel, automatic.
The ABS light would come on simultaneously. If I shut the motor off, it would go out and stay off until we'd hit a certain speed (getting onto the highway, etc.)
Well, I've changed the speed wheel sensor and it stopped for about a day, now the ABS light is on all the time and the odometer no longer works.
I bought a new radio for the Jeep and installed it. I had the battery unplugged for a while, so trying to "restart" the computer that way didn't seem to work.
Also, it's a pretty new battery...like I mentioned, the Jeep is an automatic. In the last year, I can recall about 5 times where it "stalled" and just shut off on me. I can't remember if it's happened since replacing the speed wheel sensor or not but, should it just be stalling like that? That only ever happened while backing out of the driveway and getting ready to put the Jeep into drive.
What do you think could possibly be wrong? I really don't have a lot of money to be spending going to a mechanic.
So, if there is anyone out there who could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
