I have a 2005 Chrysler Sebring sedan that started making a nasty noise coming from the front driver side area. I just noticed it a few days ago on the way home from work once I got off the highway. It started making a squeaking/clunking noise, and from what I can tell, is just that side. It does it with the rhythm of the road, so bumps, dips, etc, and then also when turning. I had the control arms replaced about a year ago and it was making a noise real similar to this when that happened. That too came on out of nowhere, no warning signes or anything, just one day decided to start making a God awful noise. Any ideas of what this could be? Also, do dealers typically have a warranty period for work done like this? I dont feel like paying another $1500 for the same repairs again...If I had to associate a noise with it, I would say it sounds like an old creaky door. Its becoming more frequent and starting to worry me. It does it the majority of the time, although, for a little bit this morning, it did not make a single noise. I am having a hard time finding time to get it to a dealer because of hour conflictions, but I would just like to get an idea so I know if its still safe to be driving....Thanks!
This car has 65000 miles on it. It still has a Power train Warranty, but I would assume this does not include suspension components. I was just wondering if the dealer would warranty parts they replaced with in a certain time frame. The car makes the same noise regardless of the bumps or turns.
