I have a 2004 toyota camry and my hood does not close all the way. I tried w-d 40 but it still does not close all the way, I can drive but I do not want to drive over 45mph because maybe the hood may pop open completely while driving so I use it for here and there runs for the time being. Do I need to contact my dealer and order a new hood latch assembly and find a local mechanic to put it on? thanks
when i pop the hood, the lever under my dash which pops the hood is loose. it used to be tight. So there must be a spring action on the hood latch not working to pull the lever under my hood tight again once I pop the hood, does that sound correct? Do I then need a new hood latch mechanism.??
