2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. My heat is not working and i live in Michigan. Last winter, it started having problems intermediately, and when i would hit the side of the controls it would come back on. Sometimes it would come back on on its own after several minutes of driving, at random. Worked ok during the summer months, during AC months. Now its cold again, and i need heat. Started acting up again after starting to use it, but again if i hit the side of it, it starts to work. Well this week, dropped below freezing outside, and now it wont come on at all.

The temp controls appear to work, as i hear it working when i turn the dial. The mode controls work as well (defrost, vents, etc). When i turn the dial to turn on the unit, i hear nothing at all within the module, but i do hear something click on in the engine compartment. That part turns on, but still no heat through to the car. Could it be the rheostat that controls the unit, or something else? Im not the most mechanically inclined guy, but i took the control module completely out and made sure the connections were good, as far as i could tell. HELP!
