i recently just purchased a 2004 4spd automatic mazda rx8 with the secondary paddle shifter. it was the only used rx8 that i could afford, i really wanted a standard, or at least one of the newer models of rx8 so i could at least get the 6 spd auto tranny, but i couldn't afford any. my question is if anyone knows if its possible to swap out the 4spd auto tranny for a 6spd auto? and if so, how much do you think it would cost, i am already expecting it to pretty expensive so just ball park numbers to me. Also if anyone knows specific mods to make the 4spd auto faster then a standard, id much appreciate it..
