My gut tells me to walk away. I have put hundreds of dollars into it every summer, and I'm not convinced it's fixed now. Currently, it won't start. I think it needs a new battery. The brakes need replaced and I have a bad feeling about the transmission. It lurches badly when I shift. I owe about what it's worth now. I admit to wanting a newer car with nicer stuff, but I can do without. I've never liked this car. I just don't know if it's smart to hold onto it or upgrade.
It looks like my husband will not be deployable for the next 2 years or so, but he will likely deploy immediately after graduating from this course. Cars always break during deployments.
