2004 Mazda 3- Noise when turning and power steering light went on. Please help!?

A few weeks ago I heard a loud snapping noise when I turned the wheel left. This wouldn't happen all the time, just occasionally. I took my car to the dealer and they replaced the axle on the right side and sent me on my way. The minute I drove it off the lot, it continued to make noise and seemed looser. I didn't feel safe and I let them know. I took the car back and because it's a 2004 with high mileage the Service Manager told me that it the car is just old but not to worry about it. He asked to test drive it and later said it might be the steering rack. He asked to see the car in a week but I had it checked out sooner. Something was really wrong. I went to another mechanic and he said my control arm needed replacing along with a bushing. I had that replaced and the car is much quieter and feels safer. I still notice a click sometimes when I turn the wheel but it's not as bad. The car feels secure. However, the power steering light came on last night and for about 5 seconds it was hard to steer but went back to normal and hasn't done it sense. I'm afraid to go back to the dealership because they didn't take my concerns seriously, they sent me out with a bad control arm...and I feel like I'm spending way too much money there for work that isn't helping.

What should I do? Do I go back to the dealer and let them check it again? My only incentive to go back is that they said they would work with me on the repair and give me a break on the bill. Any idea what could be wrong?
