I have a 2004 Lancer Ralliart with a custom turbo, my transmission needs work..the second gear synchro is trashed and will need a new gearbox soon, has been running fine and doing well going from point A to point B, the other day pulling into my parking lot my car lost all power and started making a popping sound like popcorn when i applied any pressure to the throttle, i have replaced the sparkplugs and unhooked the battery to let the ECU reset, but when i start it and lightly rev it up all it does is pop and you can hear a extreamly powerful sucking sound as you slowly rev the throttle and the engine dosent rev higher, if i just rev it all the way using the throttle under the hood it revs decent but any slow press of it will just make it pop out the exhaust and suck air.. ive been told it could be my mass air flow sensor, throttle position sensor or even a bad plug coil...just lookin for anyones take on this issue.
