2004 Honda Civic - thermostat kept going to hot especially when idle but didn't seem to

be overheating? Garage couldn't figure out what was wrong but replace the thermostat. Seemed fine for about a week and started doing it again...now heat doesn't work either and when I do turn the heat on, the theremostat goes straight to hot and stays there and only cold air blows...what could all this be???? I'm frustrated
