battery terminals are dirty and loose or you have a bad solenoid.

Sounds like a bad starter solenoid, but could also be corroded connection from the battery to the frame or battery to starter solenoid.

if you have not replaced the batter yet then its the battery but if you have then its your starter cylanoid..
