I have changed the oil, oil filter, and replaced the spark plugs last week.
So over this past month, my car has turned off on me a few times while I'm on the freeway. It only happens when I slow down almost to a complete stop and then when accelerating, my car loses power and turns off on me. I've had a couple of people tell me that I need a new alternator. I had another coworker tell me to check out the air filter. I went on the Auto Zone website and the site suggested that I need to replace the air filter. I would just take it to a mechanic but I am low on money, that is why I am asking for any suggestions.
The air bypass valve was also fixed last month.
