I have a 2004 ford focus and I was driving it and I started to notice a burning smell. it has been snowing heavily.
I pulled over and I checked my belt and fluids and it seems ok.
I took the car home and I did a further smell test and found the smell was coming from the power steering area. I smelled the fluid and it smelled funny. I know the alternator is also near the power steering pump.
my question is which should I suspect as the culprit
