187000 miles
Does the fan clutch electrically engage/disengage in park or above 1500 rpms
i disconnected the plug and the squeak is all the time
it freewheels on shutdown, does that indicate its bad ON THIS MODEL
At idle, trans in R N D 2 1 sounds like the belt squealing, and it does get faster with increased RPM's, but disappears in Park.
sounds like its coming from front of engine/belt..
Louder under than over engine, sounds like coming from harmonic balancer area
a/c compressor on or off doesn't affect it,
volts at alt are 14.40, New alt 2yrs ago
replaced water pump a year ago,
ATF has bubbles on stick, but it has always been bubbly,
rebuilt trans 6 mos ago
PS Fluid level is good
Completely disappears in Park
what else should I look for?
Belt is less than 1 year old
