yes modern day cars will vapor lock, but that doesn't sound like the problem with it,you may have a bad temperature sensor or a throttle position sensor going bad and they wont always throw a trouble code when they first start going bad,id try scanning the computer for trouble codes, and see if anything was on the computer that might help fix this, also run a fuel pump pressure test on it just to verify the amount of pressure its running that might help also, good luck with it.

Car now has 102K on it. Meticulously maintained by me. My wife drives it mostly; she gets out of work and the car stalls a few times after initial start up and on the way home. But, only on a hot day. I cleaned the entire throttle body and plate and housing and installed a new pcv valve 2 weeks ago and it seemed to help until today. New plugs, wires, timing belt, serpentine belt all done at 90K miles. Occasionally i'll add a few ounces of Sea Foam in the gas. Do modern fuel injected cars get vapor lock? What could be the cause? Thanks in advance.
P.S. Car has been run on Mobil 1 5w-30 since 2500 miles and changed every 5,000 miles.
