my friend just purchased a 2003 Toyota Solara from Carmax with only 15,500 miles on it. They said it was a previous rental. Now, knowing what I know about rental cars, Im assuming the rental company purchased this care in 2002 and kept it in there fleet of rentals until the end of 2003. Im also thinking at this time the car should have had around 15,000 to 20,000 miles on it. At this time the rental company would have sold it. At this time maybe someone purchased it. I dont know. But she just got it last week.. My question is where has the car been for the past 5 years. In order for the miles to be so low it appears that no one has driven the car in 5 years. Does this seem right. She didnt get carfax report. So now its 2008 and the car has only 15,500 miles on it.
