2003 Roadking Speedo, cruise & Odometer problem

My speedo, cruise & odometer will quit working after 10 miles or so until you shutoff the bike and restart it. It will not idle properly also while the other stuff doesn't work.
Have checked all the fuses and they are good.
Any ideas would be appreciated ????????

I had a similar problem with my '02. It was the speedometer sending unit.

When backing of the throttle, did yours also sound different - not the normal cackle ??

It's long enough ago I don't remember for sure. I do remember it was during Daytona Bike Week and started at night. The next morning I took it to the dealer and had it warranty repaired so I didn't get to ride it that way long.
