...if its a transponder key? a week ago i purchased a 2003 jeep liberty sport 4X4 that came with only one key. i have power locks and windows & my one single key is black!! a friend of mine said that the black keys do not have chips in them and can be duplicated at any hardware store...and a call to the Chrysler dealership for help confirmed that jeeps can either come w/ black keys or grey keys...the grey being the ones with the chip..my black key opens doors and turns engine on...so if i make a copy of it..it should work the same right?
also i would like to get a pair of those remotes to unlock and lock the doors at the push of a button...any one run into this problem? please advise!!!
