2003 jeep liberty.. i'm only getting 10mpg?

i just bought a 2003 jeep liberty sport last week, and i've done the mpg check twice, the first time i was getting 12 mpg, and now i'm only gettign like 10ish.. what could be happening?

a 3,000 mile warranty was included with the car.. should i take it in to be looked at?
 
take it into a garage and tell em the oxygen sensors bad.

just a guess though
when the o2 sensor dies the engine doesnt know wat fuel air mixture to burn resulting in bad mpg
