My 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee recently started making a small ticking noise coming from the engine. The noise is louder inside the car than outside but it is coming from the engine. The noise doesnt start until after I drive the car a few miles. The noise is slightly louder when it is colder outside like in the morning. But when I hear the ticking I can turn the car off and back on again and the noise will be gone. The sound gets faster if I accelerate but is not noticeable at speeds above 20mph. I drive the same distance to work almost everyday and it seems to always start making the noise around the same distance driven every time. Have no idea what this could be any suggestions?
