I have got a Ford Focus (GHIA) car from 2003 - car done more than 103000 UK miles - with all services done. Recently, I have had one issue: When the engine is idle I hear a tocking sound from the engine. When I push the clutch the sound disappears. I have had a local mechanic to briefly (stress briefly!!) to look at it and he has said that it is either the gearbox or the engine!!! Does anyone know what the issue might be?
