problems. Who can help me? Hello! I have a black 2003 Ford Crown Vic ex California Highway Patrol imported to Vienna, Austria - EUROPE - yeah, right Schwarzenegger´s country. It´s fully loaded (strobes, siren, radio, bars, Motorola Workstation, radar etc.) and I use it as a show car and drive it every day. I just love it. About one year ago the headlights started to go on and off as they liked. First I ignored the problem and put some extra wires to the headlights with a seperate switch. That helped for several month but then I had a total shutdown of the LCM - no lights at all except for the brake lights - and so I replaced it. From then the headlights stayed on but sometimes, when I started the car, the headlights went on at the same time - but just for a moment - and went off again when the car was running. Once the horn honked and the headlights flashed for a sec during the starting. One day I had a complete shutdown with the new LCM as I had with the old one: Suddenly all the lights were dead - no turning lights, no parking lights, no interior lights, no instrument cluster lights, even the key reminder was dead, so I replaced the LCM module once again, this time I used a 2008. But with that module a had also some difficulties: I sometimes heard a "click" during daylight driving and then I realised that the headlights were on - then they went off after some time, or the interior lights stayed on, another "click" and the instrument cluster lights flashed for a second, the horn honked by itself - nothing but trouble. The best thing happened two days ago: The interior lights stayed on and suddenly the airbag lamp went on! On the internet you can read that you should change the LCM and the multifunction switch. So I changed the multifunction switch (a used one, but generation 2) yesterday, but this didn´t help either! On my way home I heard the "click" again and the instrument cluster lights flashed once as usual. Do you think that I should buy a brand new multifunction switch or is this a different electrical problem? The sudden activation of the horn is maybe a hint. Does the horn go through the multifunction switch too? This really makes my sick, because I have spent already a lot of money and still can´t trust my lighting system during night rides. So I really need some good suggestions - thanks a lot and best greetings from Austria!
