My friend has one. He says that it is pretty good on gas and decent performance for the small car that it is. As a first car, it seems to be a decent choice. If you're thinking of an economic car, then this could be the way to go. Generally, you'll find these at a lower price than other small cars like Honda Civics and Toyota Corollas. I myself have a Corolla which cost a lot more than some of the Neon I was also looking at. But I went with Corolla because I have always had Toyotas and never regretted it. But if you're looking to save some money, Neons are a good choice too. Hope this helps.
