2003 Chrysler Voyager transmission fluid and filter change at 60K?

Should I change transmission oil and filter at 60K, Haynes manual says I should but car manual says change it at 100K. Filter, fluids and new gasket are about $40. If there big benefit to transmission? My dad says there going to by a lot of metal “fillings” and I should use magnet to clean it out. Thank you
 
there should be a magnet in the pan to catch any filings.if the transmission is working good, the oil is clean and not burnt i would wait awhile longer. it also depends on how you use your car. if your towing with it or driving in heavy traffic on hot days then it should be changed more often.what i do on hot days is if i,am stuck in traffic on hot days i throw it up in neutral to help keep the transmission cool.
