My car has been having issues starting,so this is what ive done so far!
Symptoms:had to turn the ignition key several times to start the car.Soon that method failed,i was no longer able able to turn the car on like that.So my car has sat in the garage for several weeks,but today i got something new done to it cause i had several mechanics look at it and told me it had a locking system and that i needed to replace the ignition lock switch and reprogram the chip,so i got that done by a mechanic and it worked till,now i have to turn the key several times to get it started,now i have treated it with respect.and the car does start after the 3rd key turn.What is going on?
THINGS I HAVE DONE TO MY CAR!
1.replaced the battery cause i went to pepboys and they tested it and it was bad.
2.After that i got the alternator checked by computer it passed.
3.Then i bought a new starter and got that replaced.
4.replaced ignition lock switch and reprogram it!
