My 2003 Cadillac CTS shut off while I was driving 45 mph down the road. There was no warning, all my electronics were still working, I tried to put it in nutral after I coasted to a stop and restart. But the starter kept turning but would not crank it over. I tried for about 10 minutes and then all of a sudden it started working again, and ran fine. Any ideas on what might of happened. I am a little leary about driving to far until I figure out what happened. I have since added a bottle of the HEET to the gas (it has been very cold here in MD lately) I figure it wouldn';t hurt, and it drives fine now. I have checked all the belts and wires????

we sold a car last year that was doing that...just traded it in...F er was unsafe on curves and going over the mountains near us..

Could be tons of possibilities. Often intermittent stalling is due to a fuel pump that's going. As they overheat, they stop, then they work again once they cool down.

Could also be the crank/cam position sensors, or something of the sort.
