2002 yamaha R6. my bike wont charge my batterie. i hooked it up to a charger

then let it charge for a bit then? it ran for 30 minutes now it is dead again. could it be a corroded wire at the regulator? or something els? and as its dieing it just spits and sputters and then stops running.
